This is what our process looks like for preparing a complete annual report

  1. Preparation and collection of substrates
We begin with a meeting where we review the necessary documents for the financial statements, which form the basis of the annual report. Here you will be helped to collect and structure the necessary documentation.
  2. Review of results for the year
We analyze the past year to identify dispositions and any dividends to be included in the financial statements. The goal is to optimize your accounting for the future.
  3. Preparation of financial statements
We prepare the financial statements and handle accruals, depreciation and calculations for accrual funds and tax. If you have any questions during the process, we are happy to offer advice and extra help.
  4. Compilation of Annual Report
The financial statements are compiled in an annual report that complies with all applicable laws and regulations. We can also assist in creating your company declaration to keep everything in line.
  5. Meeting for review and signing
When the annual report is completed, we will go through everything with you during a meeting, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and sign the documents for the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
  6. Auditor's report & submission to the Swedish Companies Registration Office
If you have an auditor, the audit is carried out here, and the auditor supplements the annual report with an auditor's report. We then help prepare the minutes of the general meeting and submit all documents to the Swedish Companies Registration Office.

our most frequently asked questions

Here you will find the answers to the most common questions we receive about our accounting services related to annual reports.

What is the difference between K2 and K3?

K2 is a regulatory framework for smaller companies with simpler accounting requirements, while K3 is more comprehensive and is aimed at larger companies. We help you choose the regulatory framework that best suits your business.

What should an annual report contain?

An annual report provides a summary of the company's financial position and results for the past year. It should always contain a management report, income statement, balance sheet, notes and signatures. For companies with an auditor, the annual report shall also consist of an auditor's report. In some cases, the annual report shall also include a sustainability report, consolidated financial statements, cash flow analysis, corporate governance report and interim report.

When do you have to submit the annual report?

All limited liability companies in Sweden must submit their annual report no later than seven months after the end of the financial year. We make sure that your annual report is ready in good time so you don't have to stress.

What is the difference between income statement and balance sheet?

Profit and loss statement shows the income and expenses of the company in a certain period, resulting in the profit or loss for the year. Balance sheet shows the company's assets, liabilities and equity at a specific point in time, usually at the end of the financial year.

Can you do the annual report yourself?

If you own a small company, you can prepare the annual report yourself if you have sufficient knowledge of accounting and the legal requirements that apply. However, since it is a complex process, it can be beneficial to hire an accounting firm to ensure that everything gets correct and filed on time. Larger companies are required by law to hire an accountant.

Do I need an auditor for my annual report?

Not every business needs an accountant. For smaller companies, auditing is voluntary, but larger companies as well as some types of companies must have an auditor. If you have an accountant, we can help with all contact and coordination.

Can you help me with parts of the annual report, or do you have to do the whole?

We are flexible and can help you with the whole process or only the parts you want. For example, we can step in at the end for a briefing and ensure that everything is correct.

How long does it take to get an annual report ready?

The time for completing an annual report entirely depends onthe size of the enterprise and how complex the work is. A simple annual report can be completed within a few weeks, while more complex financial statements can take longer.

How to create a good annual report?

A good annual report is clear, accurate and meets all legal requirements. It is important to have the documentation in order and that everything is complete and in line with current regulations. Hiring an expert can help ensure a professional and reliable annual report.

Does an individual company have to make annual reports?

No, individual companies generally do not have to prepare an annual report, only in cases where your company is considered larger. However, individual firms have to file annual accounts.

Which companies must submit annual reports?

All limited liability companies and certain other forms of business, such as economic associations, are obliged to submit an annual report to the Swedish Companies Registration Office. Other corporate forms, such as trading companies and limited partnerships, may also be obligated depending on turnover and ownership structure.

Do all companies have to make an annual report?

No, not all companies have to make an annual report. For some forms of business, such as individual firms, it is only required to prepare an annual financial statement. However, annual accounts are mandatory for limited liability companies and economic associations.
