Automated Bookkeeping
The Local is a news site where their customers pay for memberships through subscriptions. Since all subscribers differ, the revenue needs to be recorded in various ways. Subscribers can be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. The revenue from subscriptions can also come from around the world, making bookkeeping particularly tricky. Previously, the bookkeeping was done via large Excel sheets that were difficult to manage, increasing the risk of errors.
Today, we have delivered a solution that automates all of this. We developed a program that runs at the end of each month, going through all transactions and correctly recording all revenues.
Automated and Streamlined Invoicing Workflow
We helped our client Flowy streamline and automate their invoicing workflows. The client had previously mentioned that it took a long time to compile all invoices each month. Additionally, many invoices were sent out too late, causing problems.
The delay in invoicing was due to several supplier invoices needing to be billed to their customers. The information needed to compile the invoices was scattered across various Excel sheets, making the process very cumbersome and manual.
We delivered a simple web-based application that merged all Excel documents into a single unified spreadsheet. The application automatically grouped the data based on which customer the invoice should be sent to. The next step allowed the user to transfer the invoices into Fortnox, which then automatically sent them to the correct customers.
The company previously spent enormous resources on this process, which took six months per year. Today, 90% of that time is spent on other tasks.
The Reporting Tool for the Future of Businesses and Accounting Firms
In this project, we collected real-time data from Fortnox with the goal of using AI to generate automated reports. We created a simple web application where the reports were visualized in a user-friendly manner. The client was given the flexibility to choose the type of report they wanted to create, whether it was a monthly report, quarterly report, or other customized reports.
By leveraging advanced AI algorithms, we were able to effectively identify data anomalies and understand the financial development over time. Our work resulted in a tool that not only offered automated reports but also provided clients with the ability to customize their own data visualization and analysis based on their unique needs.
